# Divi Post List Pro

**Divi Post List Pro** displays your posts in a compact, clean list — each row with a small thumbnail, title, excerpt, and meta. It is perfect for sidebars, "latest posts" sections, footers, and any minimal content area, and it can also switch into a multi-column grid when you need more density.

## Key Features

## Adding the Module

1. Edit a page with the **Divi Visual Builder**.
2. Add a new module and search for **Post List Pro**.
3. Your latest posts appear as a list — open the module settings to configure the query, elements, and design.

## Content Settings

### Query

The Query toggle controls which posts appear in the list.

1. **Post Type** – Choose the content type to display: Posts, Pages, or a public custom post type (default: Post).
2. **Included Categories** – Show only posts from the selected categories.
3. **Custom Taxonomy** – Filter by a custom taxonomy instead of categories.
4. **Taxonomy Terms** – The terms (IDs or slugs) to match within the chosen taxonomy.
5. **Order By** – Sort posts by Date, Title, ID, Author, or Random (default: Date).
6. **Sort Order** – Ascending or Descending direction.
7. **Post Limit** – How many posts to show per page (default: 6).
8. **Date Format** – Customize the displayed post date using standard WordPress date formats.
9. **Post Offset Number** – Skip a number of posts before the list starts (default: 0).
10. **Include Posts by IDs** – Display only the posts whose IDs you list.
11. **Exclude Posts by IDs** – Hide specific posts even when they match the query.

### Layout Settings

The Layout Settings toggle controls which elements each list item shows.

1. **Show Image** – Toggle the featured image thumbnail (default: On).
2. **Image Size** – Thumbnail, Medium, Large, or Full.
3. **Show Title** – Toggle the post title (default: On).
4. **Title Heading Level** – Render titles as H1–H6 or a plain paragraph.
5. **Show Excerpt** – Toggle the post summary (default: On).
6. **Excerpt Length** – Number of characters shown in the excerpt (default: 150).
7. **Show Author** – Display the author name (default: Off).
8. **Show Date** – Display the publish date (default: Off).
9. **Show List Icon** – Display a small icon/bullet in front of each item (default: On).

## Design Settings

The Design tab styles every part of the list with Divi's full typography, color, spacing, border, and shadow controls.

- **List Style** – Layout Type (List or Grid, default: List), Grid Columns (1–8, default: 4, responsive), Item Spacing, and Content Alignment (default: Left).
- **Image Style** – Thumbnail Width (default: 60px), Height (default: 60px), and Spacing (default: 12px).
- **Post Title** – Typography, color, and hover styling for titles.
- **Post Excerpt** – Typography and spacing for the summary text.
- **Meta** – Typography and color for the author and date line.
- **Post Box** – Background, border, box-shadow, and spacing of each list item.
- **Pagination** – Pagination Type (None, Numbers, or Previous/Next), alignment, and colors.

## Tips & Notes

> **Sidebar usage**
> Post List Pro is designed to stay readable in narrow columns. In a sidebar, keep the default List layout, use the Thumbnail image size, and reduce Excerpt Length (or turn the excerpt off) for the cleanest result.

> **Heading hierarchy**
> If the module appears in a sidebar next to page content that already uses H2/H3 headings, set **Title Heading Level** to a lower level (or paragraph) to keep a correct on-page heading structure for SEO.

## FAQ

### Can the post list show multiple columns?

Yes. Set **Design → List Style → Layout Type** to Grid, then choose the number of columns (1–8) per device.

### How do I hide the small icon in front of each item?

Turn off **Layout Settings → Show List Icon**.

### How do I change the thumbnail size?

Use **Design → Image Style** to set the exact width and height in pixels (default 60×60), and **Layout Settings → Image Size** to control which WordPress image size is loaded.

### Does Post List Pro support pagination?

Yes. Set **Design → Pagination → Pagination Type** to Numbers or Previous/Next. Posts per page follow **Query → Post Limit**.
