The News Ticker module in Divi Blog Pro allows you to display your latest posts or selected content in a continuously moving ticker format. It is perfect for headlines, breaking news, announcements, or any content you want to highlight dynamically across your site.
Content
This tab allows you to control what content is displayed in the ticker and how it is filtered.
Query
This toggle reveals all post-filtering and sorting options for the ticker.
- Use Title – Toggle to enable or disable the display of a ticker title.
- Title Text – Enter the text to appear as the ticker title, e.g., “Breaking News” (plain text, no formatting).
- Post Type – Select the type of content to display: Post, Page, Media, or Project.
- Order By – Choose the criterion to order posts, such as Date, Author, Title, etc.
- Sorted By – Select Ascending or Descending order.
- Post Limit – Set the maximum number of posts to display in the ticker.
- Post Offset Number – Skip a number of posts before starting the ticker.
- Include Posts by IDs – Specify posts to include by their IDs.
- Exclude Posts by IDs – Specify posts to exclude by their IDs.
Settings
This toggle controls the ticker’s behavior, direction, speed, and appearance on different devices.
- Title Position – Choose the position of the ticker title (left/right), required for RTL websites.
- Moving Speed – Set how fast the posts scroll in the ticker.
- Moving Direction – Choose the scroll direction (left/right), also important for RTL layouts.
- Item Spacing – Adjust the spacing between individual ticker items.
- Pause on Hover – Toggle to pause the ticker when hovered by a user.
- Use Bullet Before Item – Toggle YES/NO to display a bullet before each ticker item.
Design
The Design tab allows you to customize the overall appearance of the News Ticker module to match your website’s style and branding.
Title Style
The Title Style toggle allows you to customize the overall appearance of the ticker’s title. You can adjust the font, size, weight, color, spacing, alignment, and even add shadows or other subtle effects. These settings ensure the title stands out and integrates smoothly with your website’s design, including support for RTL layouts.
Title Text
This option controls the styling of the title content itself, such as “Breaking News.” You can modify typography, font size, color, spacing, and hover effects to make the title text visually appealing and readable, giving you flexibility to emphasize or highlight it as needed.
Post Text
The Post Text toggle focuses on the moving ticker items, allowing you to customize the font, size, color, line height, letter spacing, and hover effects. This ensures the ticker content is clear, visually balanced, and engaging for visitors while maintaining readability during animation.
