Quick Start Presets

Quick Start presets let you configure a whole carousel in one click. Open any carousel module’s settings and you will find a Quick Start group at the top of the Content tab. Choosing a preset writes a complete set of options — slide count, spacing, navigation, autoplay, transition — in a single step.

There are 104 presets across the twelve Divi Carousel Pro modules: eight that every module shares, plus extra ones tailored to particular modules.

Key Features

  • One click, complete configuration — no need to set a dozen options by hand.
  • Nothing is locked — a preset only sets values. Every one stays editable afterwards, exactly as if you had typed it in yourself.
  • Your existing edits survive — each option is written individually, so applying a preset never wipes settings the preset does not mention.
  • Available on every module, in both Divi Carousel Free and Divi Carousel Pro.

Applying a Preset

  1. Edit a page with the Divi Visual Builder and open any carousel module’s settings.
  2. Open the Content tab. The Quick Start group sits at the top.
  3. Click a preset. The carousel updates immediately in the builder.
  4. Adjust anything you like afterwards — the preset is a starting point, not a lock.

Presets are a starting point. Applying one is the same as changing those settings by hand. You can apply a preset, then change the slide count, swap the navigation style, or turn autoplay back on, and nothing reverts.

The Eight Shared Presets

These are available on every carousel module.

  • Default — three slides across, arrows, autoplay off. The sensible baseline for most sections.
  • Showcase — a single centred slide with arrows and dots. Good for hero content where one image should dominate.
  • Dense Grid — four across with tight 8px gaps, scrolling two at a time. Suits logos, thumbnails, and large sets.
  • Compact Mobile — one slide with dots only and auto height. No arrows to crowd small screens.
  • Continuous — looping autoplay every four seconds that pauses when a visitor hovers or interacts. A pause control appears automatically whenever autoplay is on.
  • Crossfade — one slide at a time with a 900ms fade instead of a slide.
  • Vertical — a stacked vertical scroll in a 420px-tall frame. Built for sidebars and narrow columns.
  • Right to Left — right-to-left sliding for RTL languages, with drag direction, arrow order and keyboard order all flipped.

Module-Specific Presets

Some modules add presets of their own. Unlike the shared eight, a few of these also set design, not just behaviour.

  • Post Carousel — Editorial — boxed cards, one category instead of every category, a capped excerpt, newest first.
  • Post Carousel — Minimal — text only. No image, category, author or comment count.
  • Product Carousel — Shop Card — boxed cards, square product images, cart and quick-view revealed on hover.
  • Product Carousel — Showcase — three larger products in a portrait crop, with no category line.
  • Testimonial Carousel — Single Quote — one testimonial at a time at equal height, so the dots do not jump between slides.

FAQ

Will a preset overwrite the styling I have already done?

No. A preset only changes the specific options it lists. Every other setting on the module — including your own colour, spacing and typography choices — is left exactly as it was.

Can I undo a preset?

Use the Visual Builder’s normal undo. Because a preset is just a set of ordinary setting changes, undo reverses it like any other edit.

Do presets work in Divi 4?

Quick Start presets are a Divi 5 feature. Divi 4 modules keep all their existing settings and continue to work, but the preset picker appears only in the Divi 5 Visual Builder.

Are presets available in the free plugin?

Yes. The eight shared presets are in Divi Carousel Free as well, on every module it ships.
