Divi Author List Pro

Divi Author List Pro showcases the writers behind your website. It lists your site's authors with their avatar, name, post count, bio, and email in a clean list or grid — perfect for team pages, contributor sections, and multi-author blogs that want to highlight the people creating the content.

Adding the Module

1. Edit a page with the Divi Visual Builder.
2. Add a new module and search for Author List Pro.
3. The module lists your site's authors immediately — open the settings to filter, sort, and style them.

Content Settings

Query

The Query toggle controls which authors appear in the list.

1. Post Type – Count and list authors based on Posts or Pages (default: Post).
2. Order By – Sort authors by Display Name, Nicename, Post Count, or ID (default: Display Name).
3. Sort Order – Ascending or Descending (default: Ascending).
4. User Roles – Show only authors with specific roles, such as Administrator, Editor, or Author.
5. Exclude Author IDs – Hide specific users by listing their IDs.

Display Settings

The Display Settings toggle controls what information is shown for each author.

1. Name Display – Show each author's Display Name, First Name, Last Name, or Nicename.
2. Figure Type – Show the author's Avatar or no figure at all (default: Avatar).
3. Avatar Size – Ten sizes from 25×25 up to 200×200 pixels (default: 80).
4. Show Post Count – Display how many posts each author has published (default: On).
5. Post Count Text – The label shown next to the count (default: "Posts").
6. Show Bio – Display the author's biographical info from their profile (default: Off).
7. Show Email – Display the author's email address (default: Off).

Design Settings

The Design tab styles the author cards with Divi's full typography, color, spacing, border, and shadow controls.

• List Style – Layout Type (List or Grid, default: Grid), Columns (1–8, default: 4, responsive), Item Spacing (default: 15px), and Content Alignment (default: Center).
• Figure Style – Figure Size (default: 80px) and Figure Spacing (default: 15px) for the avatar.
• Name, Post Count, Bio, and Email – Full typography controls for each text element.
• Item Box – Background, border, and box-shadow of each author card.

Tips & Notes

Author avatar
Avatars come from Gravatar. Each author's WordPress email must exactly match their account at gravatar.com, otherwise a default avatar is shown instead of their photo.

Author bio
The bio text comes from each user's Biographical Info field under Users → Profile in the WordPress dashboard. If the bio is empty there, nothing is shown even when Show Bio is On.

FAQ

Why is an author's photo not showing?

The module uses Gravatar for avatars. Ask the author to create or update their profile at gravatar.com using the exact same email address as their WordPress account.

Can I show only certain team members?

Yes — two ways. Use Query → User Roles to limit the list to specific roles, or use Exclude Author IDs to remove individual users from the list.

How do I order authors by how much they publish?

Set Query → Order By to Post Count and Sort Order to Descending — the most active authors appear first.

Can I switch between a list and a grid?

Yes. Go to Design → List Style → Layout Type and choose List or Grid. In Grid mode you can also set the number of columns per device (1–8).
