What a preset actually looks like
Open any carousel's settings and the first thing you see is a Quick Start group. One click writes a whole configuration — and everything it sets stays editable afterwards. There are 104 presets across the twelve modules. Below is the same set of four photographs through each of the eight that every module shares, so the only thing changing is the preset.

Module-specific presets
Beyond the eight every module shares, some modules have presets of their own. Until 4.2.0 every preset was behavioural — slide counts and navigation. These ones set design too, which is how Post finally got a real card surface.

Divi 4 exposed 57 shared carousel fields; the first Divi 5 port exposed 38. These are the ones worth having back — plus one control neither generation ever had.

Mixed orientations at natural height
Two portraits among two landscapes, with no ratio set. A tall photograph stretches the whole track to its own height. This is the default, and it is why real carousels used to look broken. slideRatio natural

Applied as aspect-ratio plus object-fit: cover, so every slide is the same height whatever you feed it. Also available as 1:1, 4:3, 3:2 and 3:4. slideRatio 16-9

Easing, alignment, and per-device navigation
Three more Divi 4 controls, restored
A 900ms ease-in-out glide with the dots pushed right — drag a slide and let go to feel the easing. Navigation is also per-device now: arrows on desktop, dots on tablet, nothing on phone where swiping is the obvious gesture.
