The Post Tiles module allows you to display posts in visually appealing tile layouts. It is ideal for portfolios, blogs, or content grids where you want a compact, modern display with flexible styling options. The module gives you full control over content selection, layout, and visual appearance.
Content
The Content tab controls which posts are displayed in the tiles and how their basic content is configured.
Query
This toggle determines which posts appear and how they are filtered or sorted.
- Post Type – Select the type of content: Posts, Pages, Media, or Projects.
- Included Categories – Filter posts by category.
- Order By – Determine the sorting criteria for posts.
- Sorted By – Choose ascending or descending order.
- Excerpt Length – Set the length of post excerpts.
- Date Format – Customize how the post date is displayed.
- Post Offset Number – Skip a specific number of posts from the beginning.
- Include Posts by IDs – Display only posts matching these IDs.
- Exclude Posts by IDs – Exclude posts by specific IDs.
- Featured Image Size – Select the size of featured images: Full, Large, Medium, or Thumbnail.
Elements
The Elements toggle allows you to enable or disable specific parts of each tile. It includes three subtabs—Common, General, and Featured—each controlling different aspects of the tile content.
Common
The Common tab lets you manage meta elements and author details for each tile.
- Show Date – Toggle to display the post date.
- Show Author – Toggle to display the author’s name.
- Show Meta Icon – Toggle to show icons for meta elements like comments or categories.
- Show Author Photo – Toggle to show the author’s avatar.
- Show Categories – Toggle to display the categories associated with each post.
Important Note About the Author Photo:
If you enable Author Photo, ensure the author has a Gravatar profile at gravatar.com and that their WordPress email matches the Gravatar email exactly; otherwise, the avatar will not appear.
General
The General tab allows you to control excerpts for standard tiles.
- Show Excerpt – Enable or disable the post excerpt.
- Show Excerpt on Hover – Show the excerpt only when a user hovers over the tile.
Featured
The Featured tab controls excerpts specifically for featured tiles, which may have a different layout or size from standard tiles.
- Show Excerpt – Display the excerpt on featured tiles.
- Show Excerpt on Hover – Show the excerpt only on hover for featured tiles.
Tiles Settings
This toggle controls the layout and spacing of the tiles.
- Tiles Layout – Choose from 12 predefined tile layouts.
- Titles Gap – Set the spacing between the title and other elements (in px).
- Base Height – Define the base height for all tiles (in px).
Design
The Design tab allows you to style all visual aspects of the Post Tiles module, including tiles, thumbnails, titles, excerpts, featured texts, and meta elements.
Tiles Style
Customize the overall appearance of tiles, including background color, spacing, border, and shadow effects.
Thumbnail
Style the featured image for each tile, including size, shape, spacing, and border radius.
Category
Control the typography, color, spacing, and alignment of categories displayed on tiles.
Title & Excerpt
Adjust font, size, color, spacing, and hover effects for post titles and excerpts.
Featured Texts
Customize the appearance of texts on featured tiles, including font, size, color, and placement.
Meta
Style the meta information, such as author, date, and icons, with typography, color, and spacing options.
